What should I do if I want to restrict access to the network for some devices or children's devices

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

In the browser address bar, enter: itoolink.net. Press the Enter key, and if there is a login password, enter the router management interface login password and click "Login".

STEP 2:

Follow these steps

1. Enter advanced settings

2. Click on Security Settings

3. Find MAC filtering

STEP 3：

After the restrictions were completed, I found that I couldn't access the internet with my device

Assign fixed IP addresses to terminals to prevent some issues caused by IP changes, such as setting up DMZ hosts

STEP 1: Log in to the wireless router management page

In the browser address bar, enter: itoolink.net. Press the Enter key, and if there is a login password, enter the router management interface login password and click "Login".

Go to Advanced Settings>Network Settings>IP/MAC Address Binding

After setting, it indicates that the IP address of the device with MAC address 98: E7: F4:6D: 05:8A is bound to 192.168.0.196

1: Check wiring connections

Ⅰ: Check if the computer is connected to the LAN port of the router. If it is connected to the WAN port, it is necessary to connect the computer to the LAN port of the router;

Ⅱ:If you log in to the management interface on your mobile phone, please check if the wireless signal is connected and disconnect your mobile data before attempting to log in again;

2.Check the router indicator light

Check if the SYS indicator light of the router is flashing. The normal state is flashing. If it is constantly on or not on, please power off and restart the router, and wait for about half a minute to see if it will flash normally. If it is still constantly on or not on, it indicates that the router is faulty.

3. Check the computer IP address settings

Check if the local IP address of the computer is automatically obtained. Please refer to the documentation for the setting method  How to configure the computer to automatically obtain an IP address. 

4. Enter the login address correctly

5. Replace browser

Perhaps the browser is compatible or cached, and you can log in again with another browser

6. Replace the computer or phone to enter the interface

If there are no other browsers on the device, you can use another computer or phone to connect to the router and try logging in to the interface.

7. Router reset

If you still cannot log in after following the above methods, it is recommended to reset the router and use hardware methods (press the reset button) to reset it.

Reset method: When the router is powered on, press and hold the router RESET button for 8-10 seconds (i.e. when all indicator lights are on) before releasing it, and the router will return to its factory settings. (RESET small hole should be pressed with a pointed object such as a pen tip)

The network bandwidth resources are limited, and some terminal devices such as high-speed downloads and video live streaming will occupy a large amount of bandwidth, leading to other computers experiencing phenomena such as "slow internet access, high network cards, and high game ping values with large fluctuations".

The QoS function can limit the maximum uplink and downlink rates of computers, thereby ensuring the rational utilization of the entire network bandwidth resources.

STEP 1: Log in to the router management page

In the browser address bar, enter: itoolink.net. Press the Enter key, and if there is a login password, enter the router management interface login password and click "Login".

STEP 2: Enable QoS function

Find the basic settings as shown in the following figure, locate the QoS switch, and enable it

STEP 3：Set total bandwidth

STEP 4：Add restricted devices

1. Select the 'Add' option from the rule list below.

2. Click on "Magnifier icon" to display the list of currently connected devices.

3. Select the device you want to limit bandwidth on. (The illustrated items are only examples)

4. Specify the upload and download bandwidth size you want to limit.

5. Click the "Add" button on the right side of the rule to add it.

When my computer is connected to my TOTOLINK router and cannot obtain an IP address, I can check if my PC is configured as a static IP by following these steps

STEP 1: 

Right-click the network icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, click to open "Network and internet settings"

STEP 2:

Scroll down, find and click on Network and Sharing Center

STEP 3：

Click on Ethernet

STEP 4：

Point Properties

STEP 5：

Find and double-click Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4)

STEP 6：

STEP 7：

The page automatically jumps back to Ethernet and click OK

STEP 1:

Connect the line according to the method shown in the figure below.

If you don’t have a PC, you can also use your mobile phone or tablet to connect to the router’  WiFi. The SSID is generally TOTOLINK_model, and the login address is itotolink.net or 192.168.0.1

STEP 2 :

Log in to itotolink.net or 192.168.0.1 through a browser to enter the routing dashboard interface.

If you cannot successfully log in according to the above methods, or your account password cannot be logged in normally,

It is recommended that you restore the router to its original factory defaults and then operate again.

STEP-1:Connect your computer

Connect to the extender's LAN port with a network cable from a computer network port (or to search for and connect the  extender's wireless signal).

STEP-2: Assigned manually IP Address

TOTOLINK extender’s LAN IP address is 192.168.0.254, please type in IP address 192.168.0.x （“x” range from 2 to 250）, the Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 and Gateway is 192.168.0.254.

STEP-3:

Enter 192.168.0.254 into the TOTOLINK extension in your browser. Take the EX200 as an example.

STEP-4:

After setting up the extender successfully, please select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS Server address automatically.

Note: Your terminal device must choose to obtain an IP address automatically to access the network.

Application introduction:

After entering the management address of the extender in the address bar of Chrome browser, the page cannot be displayed after entering the management password, as shown below.

Note: 

Ensure that the login IP address you typed in the address bar is correct, as well as the login username and password. 

Take EX200 as an example.

Method One: login via PC

STEP-1: 

Change browser and clear browser cache

Try changing old version (before 72.0.3626.96) of Chrome browser or try other browser, such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc., and clear your browser cache.

Delete cookies on the web browser. Here we take Firefox for example.

Note: In general, the browser enters the management address of the extender and error pops up. Please use this method first.

STEP-2: 

2-1. Extender default Gateway IP address 192.168.0.254:

Assigned manually IP address 192.168.0.x （“x” range from 2 to 253）, the Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 and Gateway is 192.168.0.254.

2-2. Enter 192.168.0.254 into the address bar of your browser. Log in the settings interface.

2-3. After setting up the extender successfully, please select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS Server address automatically.

Metod Two: login via tablet/Cellphone

STEP-1: 

Change browser and clear browser cache

Try other browser, such as Firefox, Opera, etc., and clear your browser cache.

STEP-2: 

Enter 192.168.0.254 into the address bar of your browser. Log in the settings interface.

Preparation

★ Before downloading files. please confirm the hardware version ofyour device and choose the corresponiding firmware version to uparade. 

★ Wrong firrmware version may damage your device and no warrante.

Set up steps

STEP-1: Guide for Hardware Version

For most TOTOLINK extender, you can see two bar coded stickers at the front of the device, the character string started with Model No.(for example EX200) and ended with Hardware Version (for example V1.0) is the serial number of your device. See below:

STEP-2:

Open browser, enter www.totolink.net Download the required files.

For example, if your hardware yersion is V1.0 , please download V1 version. 

Note: If the hardware version is V1, V1 will be hidden.

STEP-3: 

Unzip the file, correct upgrade file name is suffixed with ”web” or “bin” (except for some special models)

Application introduction: 

Some TOTOLINK products have more than one hardware version, using V1, V2, etc for separation, and generally, each hardware version corresponds to a specifically developed firmware. 

If you want to upgrade your device to the latest firmware, you need to choose the correct firmware version for your device.

The number X is the Hardware Version of your device. If the string shows “V1.y”, it means the hardware version is V1.
