Application introduction: Solution about how to configure Internet mode with PPPoE ,Static IP and DHCP for TOTOLINK products

STEP-1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser.

Note:The default access address varies depending on the actual situation. Please find it on the bottom label of the product.

STEP-2:

User Name and Password are required, by default both are admin in lowercase letter. Click LOGIN.

STEP-3.1.1: Easy Setup DHCP setting

The Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick setting，Select DHCP as WAN Connection Type, then Click Apply.

STEP-3.1.2: Advanced Setup DHCP setting

Please go to Network ->WAN Setting page, and check which you have selected. Select DHCP Client as WAN Type, then Click Apply.

STEP-3.2.1: Easy Setup Static IP setting

The Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick setting，Selecting Static IP as WAN Connection Type and input your information about Static IP which you want to fill in .Then Click Apply

STEP-3.2.2: Advanced Setup Static IP setting

Please go to Network ->WAN Setting page, and check which you have selected.

Select Static IP as WAN Type and input your information about Static IP which you want to fill in .Then Click Apply

STEP-3.3.1: Easy Setup PPPOE setting

The Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick setting ,Select PPPoE as WAN Type and input your PPPoE username and password which are provided by your ISP. Then Click Apply

STEP-3.3.2: Advanced Setup PPPOE setting

Please go to Network ->WAN Setting page, and check which you have selected.

Select PPPoE as WAN Type and input your PPPoE username and password which are provided by your ISP. Then Click Apply

Application introduction: The Wireless SSID and password are the basic information for you to connect Wi-Fi network. But sometimes you may forget or want to change them regularly, so here we will guide you how to check or modify the wireless SSID and password.

STEP-1: Enter the setup interface

Open a browser,enter 192.168.0.1. Input User Name and password (default admin/admin) on login management interface,as follows:

STEP-2: View or modify the wireless parameters

2-1. Check or modify in Easy Setup page.

Login management interface, first enter the Easy Setup interface, you can see wireless settings, as follows:

If you are setting up the WIFI SSID and password for the first time, you can modify the SSID in the wireless settings and recommend selecting Encryption: WPA / WPA2-PSK (default Disable) and then modify the WIFI password.

2-2. Check and modify In the Advanced Setup

If you also need to set more parameters for WiFi, you can enter the Advanced Setup interface to set up.

In the wireless ---Basic settings, you can set the SSID, Encryption, Password, Channel and other information

In the wireless ---Advanced settings, you can set the Preamble Type, TX Power, Maximum of connected users and other information

Q1: Can wireless signals be set to special characters?

A: Yes, WIFI SSID and WIFI passwords can be set to special characters

SSID is only allowed to include Chinese and English, numbers, and special characters : ! @ # ^ & * () + _- = {} []:and space character

WPA Key can contain only English, numbers and the following special character : ! @ # ^ & * () + _- = {} []

Forget the router's user name and password, how to do?

Application introduction: Just like the keys on the door, the management password (login password) is the credentials of the login router. If you forget your router's management password, like losing the pocket of the key, is unable to enter the house.

Note: The login window will show the router model, please be sure to be your own router interface.

STEP-1: Try entering a password

If you do not forget to set a good password, you can only restore the router factory settings, no super password. Before returning to the factory, try entering a possible management password.

If the two methods suggest that the password is wrong, please restore the router to factory settings, that is, reset the router.

STEP-2: Restore the router to factory settings

In the router shell side to find the router Reset button.

The router is working properly, hold down the Reset button for more than 5 seconds, release the button. When all the indicators are lit, it indicates that the reset is successful.

Note: After restoring to factory settings, all configurations change to their default values.

STEP-3: Restore the router to Re-set

1.open the browser;

2.enter the gateway: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1;

3.enter the default login account and password: admin admin;

4.login interface;

5.Quickly set the Internet and wireless settings;

6.Click on the Apply,wait 50s;

7.Click Advanced Setup;

8.Enter Management ---> Administrator Setting screen;

9.Enter the old password (admin) and set the new password twice:

10.Click Apply,setup is complete.

Q1: Can I get a password without resetting?

If you forget to set the password, you can only reset the router. The configuration(settings, account password, etc.) in the router disappears and needs to be reset. If it is a commercial router with a serial port, you can try to retrieve through the serial port. 

Q2: Reset button (Reset) is broken or can’t be reset successfully, how do?

Please follow the reset operation in strict accordance with the instructions, if the operation can’t be reset after a number of operations (that is, the indicator light is not flash, bright, full bright reset the performance of the state), there may be reset key hardware problems need to follow the after-sales process.

Q3: How are the settings are wrong password?    

Password error is certainly a reason, if the reset is prompted after the error, the following may be:

A. Do not follow the prompts on the page to set, please be sure to see the request to enter the user name password;

B. The login page is not your router, it may be the wrong connection to the cat, into the cat interface.If the interface does not display the correct router model, please re-confirm and connect;

C. The browser cache is causing you to try to replace the browser or clear the cache.

Q4: Use third-party software to manage router descriptions 

Our router does not support third-party software management, does not recommend the use of such software, please use the browser management.

Like can’t enter the house, there may be lost the key, take the wrong key, into the wrong door, etc., there is a specific reason, need to observe and carry out effective operation try, as soon as possible to resume normal use. In addition, also need to back up important configuration, record the password to prevent forgetting.

STEP-3:

Please go to Wireless ->Multiple APs page, and check which you have selected.

Select Enable, then Input your own SSID and Key, then Click Add. So you can repeat this operation for Multiple SSID.

STEP-1:

Please go to Firewall ->MAC Filtering page, and check which you have selected.Select Enable, then Input your own MAC Address which you want to restrict or click Scan  bottom to restrict it and give a Comment for this item, then Click Add.

Note: You need add items in this way one by one.

Application introduction: Solution about how to configure IP Address and Port Filtering on TOTOLINK 

STEP-1:

STEP-2:

Please go to Firewall ->IP/Port Filtering page, and check which you have selected.Select Enable, then Input your own IP Address and Port Range which you want to restrict or click Scan bottom to restrict it and give a Comment for this item, then Click Add.

Note: You need add items in this way one by one.

Application introduction: MAC address is the physical address of your computer’s network card. Generally, every network card has one unique Mac address. Since many ISPs only allow one computer in LAN to access Internet, users can enable MAC address clone function to make more computers surf Internet.

Following these steps:

1. Connect you PC to the router by cable or wireless.

2. Typing 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of you browser.

3. Input the user name and password, both are admin by default.

4. Click Network->WAN Settings, Select the WAN type and click clone MAC. Finally click Apply. 

Application introduction:  This router has a built-in real time clock which can update itself manually or automatically by means of Network Time Protocol (NTP). As a result, you can schedule the router to dialup to the Internet at a specified time, so that users can connect to the Internet only during certain hours. 

STEP-1:

Please login to the web-configuration Interface of the router.

STEP-2: Check Time Setting

Before using schedule function you have to set your time correctly.

2-1. Click Management->Time Setting in the sidebar.

2-2. Enable NTP client update and choose the SNTP server, click Apply.

STEP-3: Wireless Schedule Setup

3-1. Click Management->Wireless Schedule

3-2. Enable the schedule at first, in this section, you can setup the specify time so the WiFi will be on during this period.

The picture is a example, and WiFi will be on from eight o’ clock to eighteen o’clock on Sunday.

Application introduction: This article will introduce the configuration of IPTV function and will guide you to configure this function correctly.

Note:

If you have already accessed to Internet and IPTV function normally by default, please ignore this article, just keep the default settings of IPTV page.

In this article, we will take A800R as an example.

STEP-1: log in the Web-configuration interface

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless,enter http://192.168.0.1

STEP-2: Introduce of IPTV setting page

On the left menu, go to Network->IPTV Setting.

STEP-3: We can see the configuration webpage of the IPTV

Please keep the IGMP Proxy and IGMP version as default, unless your ISP told you to modify. 

This article will guide you to configure the IPTV mode and LAN ports.

STEP-4 : What’s the difference between different IPTV modes

There are many “mode” available in the IPTV setting page.These modes are designed for different ISPs. In other words, the mode which you need to choice is up to your ISP.

Obviously, Singapore-singtel, Malaysia-Unifi, Malaysia-Maxis, VTV and Taiwan are designed for specific ISPs. They doesn’t need you to type in VLAN information, we just use this mode when ISP doesn’t require VLAN settings.

User Define mode is used for some of the ISPs which require 802.1Q VLAN settings for IPTV service.

STEP- 5: What’s the difference between different IPTV modes

If your ISP is singtel, Unifi, Maxis, VTV or Taiwan. Just select Singapore-singtel, Malaysia-Unifi, Malaysia-Maxis, VTV or Taiwan mode. Then you need not to type in any information more if you choose these mode, just click “Apply” to complete the configuration.Please refer to the steps below to configure this mode.

Here I select Taiwan Mode, LAN1 for IPTV service as an example.

STEP-6: If your ISP is not in the list and needs VLAN settings

If your ISP is not in the list and needs VLAN settings. Please select Custom mode and type in the detailed parameters manually. You need check the information to your ISP at first. Please follow the steps below to configure.

① Select Enabled to open up IPTV function. 

② Select User Define mode

③ Type in the VLAN ID for different services, the VLAN ID should be provided by your ISP. For example, if my ISP has told me that they use VLAN 10 for Internet service, VLAN 20 for IP-Phone service and VLAN 30 for IPTV service, I type in the parameters as above.

④ The 802.1Q Tag and IPTV Multicast VLAN ID are up to your ISP, too. (Normally the 802.1Q Tag should be checked). And the priority need not to configure.

⑤ Then set LAN ports for different services. For example, here I select LAN1 for IPTV service. 

⑥ click “Apply” to complete the configuration.

Application introduction: TOTOLINK router provided repeater function, with this function users can expand the wireless coverage and allow more terminals to access Internet.

STEP-1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser.

STEP-2:

User Name and Password are required, by default both are admin in lowercase letter. Click LOGIN.

STEP-3:

You need to enter the settings page of the router B, then follow the steps illustrated.

① Set 2.4G network -> ② Set 5G network -> ③ Click the Apply button.

STEP-4:

Please go to Operation Mode ->Repteater Mode->Next, then Click Scan 2.4GHz orScan 5GHz and select host router’s SSID.

STEP-5

Select host router’s Password you want to fill in, then Click connect.

Note: 

After completing the above operation, please re-connect your SSID after 1 minute or so.if the Internet is available it means that the settings are successful. Otherwise, please re-set the settings again

Questions and answers

Q1: After the Repeater mode is set successfully, you cannot log in to the management interface.

A: Since AP mode disables DHCP by default, the IP address is assigned by the superior router. Therefore, you need to set the computer or mobile phone to manually set the IP and the network segment of the router to log in to the router settings.

Q2: How do I reset my router to factory settings?

A: When turning on the power, press and hold the reset button (reset hole) for 5~10 seconds. The system indicator will flash quickly and then release. The reset was successful.
