No, the Mirco USB line is used to supply power for some external device, it doesn’t have data transmission function.

No matter how far it is, PLCs can connect to each one only if they are in the same loop of circuit.

Maximum 8 PLCs are allowed to pair with synchronously.

Application introduction:  

You can connect a number of devices on a powerline network, but you can only use the pair button on two devices at a time. We suppose that the Powerline adapter that connected with the Router is adapter A, and that connected with the computer is adapter B. 

Please follow the below steps to create a secured Powerline network using the pair button:

STEP-1:

Press the pair button of Powerline adapter A for about 3 seconds, the Power LED will start flashing.

STEP-2:

Press the pair button of Powerline adapter B for about 3 seconds, the Power LED will start flashing.

Note:This must be done within 2 seconds after pressing the pair button of powerline adapter A.

STEP-3:

Wait for about 3 seconds while your Powerline adapter A and B are connecting. The Power LED on both adapters will stop flashing and become solid light when the connection is made.

Press and hold Sec/Rst button for about 10 seconds, the device will reset to factory settings and reboot again. 

STEP-1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable, enter http://192.168.1.1.

STEP-2:

User Name and Password are required, by default both are admin in lowercase letter. Click Login.

STEP-3:

First, the Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick settings, choose one language, click NEXT.

STEP-4:

Choose your country and the ISP you cooperates, enter User Name, Password provided by your ISP, click NEXT.

STEP-5:

By default, the SSID is TOTOLINK ND300, you can change it as you like. Then select WPA2 Mixed (Recommended) for Encryption. Enter password, click APPLY to make all settings work.

STEP-1:

Connect to the Modem Router by cable or wireless at first. Type in 192.168.1.1 in the address field of web browser and then press Enter key. 

STEP-2:

Then below window will pop up that requires you to enter valid User Name and Password. 

Enter admin for User Name and Password, both in lower case letters. Then click LOGIN button or press Enter key.

STEP-3:

Now you have logged into the web interface of the Modem Router. Then click Setup->WAN,you can setup the PPPoE connection.

Note: VPI and VCI are provided by the ISP

STEP-4:

After chose the PPPoA/PPPoE type, you should enter the account and password provided by you ISP in the corresponding field.

Application introduction: Access control list (ACL) is used to allow or deny a specific group of IP to send or receive traffic from your network into another network.

STEP-1: 

Login the ADSL Router’s web-configuration interface at first, and then click Access Management.

STEP-2: 

In this interface,click Firewall>ACL. Active the ACL function firstly, and then you can create the ACL rule for better access control.

Application introduction: Since some Mac users got a router without WPS button, and they need to extend WiFi by EX300, what they need to do is to setup the IP address on Mac OS first. 

1. Search for SSID ‘TOTOLINK EX300’, click connect.

2. After connected successfully, please launch ‘System Preferences’ from the Apple menu.

3. Click on the “Network” icon.

4. In the lower right, click on the ‘Advanced’ button.

5. Choose‘TCP/IP’,in the pulldown menu next to “Configure IPv4” select “Manually”

6. Fill in the IP address: 192.168.1.100

               subnet mask: 255.25.255.0

                         router: 192.168.1.254.

7. Click ‘OK’.

8. Click ‘Apply’.

Open any browser

1. Type in 192.168.1.254 in the address field of Web Browser. Then press Enter key.

2. Click Setup Tool:

3. Enter User Name and Password.Both are admin in lower case letters.

4. Click Extender Serup, choose Start to enable repeater function. Click Search AP.

5. Choose the one you would like to connect, and click Select AP.

6. If the SSID you selected is encrypted,it will pop up below window reminding you to input the network key to connect. Click OK.

7. Enter the right Encryption key to cconnect. Then click Apply.

The Status line will show you if connected successfully.

Application introduction: There are two methods to extend WiFi signal by Extender, you can setup the repeater function in the web-configuration interface or by pressing the WPS button. The second one is easy and fast. 

STEP-1: 

1. Press the WPS button on the Router.

2. Press the RST/WPS button on the EX300 for about 2~3s (not more than 5s, it will reset the extender to factory default if you press it for more than 5s) within 2 minutes after pressing the button on the router.

Note: The “extending” LED will flash when connecting and become solid light when connection is successful. If the “extending” LED is off lastly, it means that the WPS connection is fail.

STEP-2: 

When it is fail to connect to the router by the WPS button, there are two suggestions we recommend for a successful connection.

1. Place EX300 near the router and power it on, and then connect with the router by the WPS button again. When connection is finished, unplug the EX300, and then you can replace the EX300 to the desired place. 

2. Try to connect to the router by setting up in the extender’s web-configuration interface, please refer to method 2 in FAQ# (How to extend existing WiFi network by the extender)
