Application introduction: The A5004NS provides a USB 3.0 port that supports Torrent function to make file downloading more easy without PC.

STEP-1:

Before using this function, please make sure you have connected to the Internet.

STEP-2:

Log into the Web page, choose Advanced Setup ->USB Storage ->Service Setup. Click Torrent.

STEP-3:

The Torrent page will show up below and please choose Start to enable the service. Then click Download Transmission Remote.

Remote ID: define the ID for opening the torrent file. 

Remote Password: enter the password to open the Torrent file.

Download Folder: choose the path on USB storage to store the file.

STEP-4:

Click Apply to start the download and you can download the file by router now. 

Note: IOS 10 systems or higher systems can’t use PPTP VPNs

Application introduction:  PPTP VPN's PC-to-site mode provides a secure tunnel for the terminal to access the headquarters network. If you are on a business trip and have access to the Internet. Use the VPN client dial-up connection that comes with the terminal to establish a secure tunnel for data transmission.

STEP-1: Set up the PPTP VPN server

1.1. Click into Utility --> VPN Setup

1.2. Turn on PPTP, Select the default Encryption(MPPE)

1.3. Enter VPN Account, VPN Password, Assigned IP. (Maximum number of VPN User is 5.)

1.4. Remember WAN IP.

STEP-2: VPN client setting

2.1. Enter the VPN client and set it up.

2.2.Set the encryption attribute for the VPN account

2.3.Set the above parameters, return to the VPN interface, and connect.

2.4. The following picture is the identity of the successful connection. At this point the VPN has dialed successfully.

How to access A2004NS USB shared U disk video, pictures?

Application introduction:  A2004NS support file sharing function, the mobile storage devices (such as U disk, mobile hard disk, etc.) connected to the router's USB interface, LAN terminal equipment can access the resources of mobile storage devices, easy file sharing.

STEP-1: Check if the hard disk has a successful access router

STEP-2: Samba server build

2-1. Go to the router interface and select Basic App--Service Setup -- Windows File Sharing (SAMBA).

2-2. Start the server, select Read / Write, enter the user ID and Password. click Apply. The Samba server has been built.

STEP-3: Access the Samba server from the client.

3-1. Open This PC and type \\ 192.168.1.1 in the input box. And press the Enter key

3-2. On this page, you will see the attached hard disk information. Click on this hard drive.

3-3. In this page will pop up a certification box, you need to enter the samba server set up, user ID and Password. At this point, you can and good friends to share the resources inside the hard disk.

How do we implement remote access to A2004NS USB shared storage files?

Application introduction: A2004NS support local area network and public network file sharing function. Connect a removable storage device (such as a USB flash drive, mobile hard disk, etc.) to the USB interface of the router. LAN or external network terminal equipment can access the resources in the mobile storage device, easy to achieve file sharing.

STEP-1: Check if the hard disk has a successful access router

STEP-2: FTP server build

STEP-3: Access the FTP server from the client, and use the resources inside.

Application introduction: File server can be created quickly and easily by TOTOLINK router’s USB port. Here we introduce how to configure FTP service on router. 

STEP-1:

Stores the resource files you want to share with others into the USB flash disk or hard drive before you plug it into the router’s USB port.

STEP-2:

Access the Web interface of the router by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address field of Web browser. Click Setup Tool. Enter admin for both user name and password.

STEP-3:

Click Advanced Setup--USB Storage--Service Setup on the left menu bar. 

STEP-4:

The FTP Service will show up and please choose Start to enable the service. 

Character Set: setup the unicode transformation format, the default is UTF-8. 

FTP Port: enter the FTP port number to use, the default is 21.

User Configuration: define the property and provide the User ID & Password for verifying while enter the FTP server.

STEP-5:

Connect to the router by cable.

STEP-6:

Enter ftp://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of My Computer or the web browser. 

STEP-7:

Enter the User name and Password that you have set before, and then click Log On.

STEP-8:

You can access the data in the USB device now.

Application introduction: The A5004NS provides a USB 3.0 port that supports FTP Service, Windows File Sharing (SAMBA), Torrent, Media Server, URL Service and USB Tethering, allowing the file sharing more easy and fast. 

STEP-1:

Log into the Web page, choose Advanced Setup ->USB Storage ->Service Setup. Click Windows File Sharing (SAMBA).

STEP-2:

Choose Start to enable the Windows File Sharing function. Please type in the right Samba Server name and Workgroup. Then setup the User configuration.

Property

ON: only allow to read the shared file.

Read/Write: allow to read and change files in shared file folder.

OFF: both read and write are not allowed.

Here we take Read/Write for example, please enter the User ID and Password. Then click Apply to save the settings.

STEP-3:

Please open Run application, type in 92.168.1.1.

STEP-4:

Wait for a moment, you are required to enter your User ID and Password. Then you will see the shared file folder.

STEP-5:

You can read or change any files in this shared folder..

Application introduction: File server can be build quickly and easily via the USB port applications so that file upload and download can be more flexible. This guide introduces how to configure FTP service via the router. 

STEP-1:

STEP-3: 

3-1. Click Device Mgmt on the sidebar

3-2. The Device Mgmt interface will show you the status and the storage information (file system, free space and total size of the device) about the USB device. Please make sure that the status is connected and the USB led indicator is lighting.

STEP-4: Enable FTP Service from the Web interface.

4-1. Click Service Setup on the sidebar. 

4-2. Click Start to enable FTP service and enter the other parameters refer to the introductions below. 

FTP Port: enter the FTP port number to use, the default is 21.

User ID & Password: provide the User ID & Password for verifying while enter the FTP server.

STEP-5: Connect to the router by wire or wireless.

STEP-6: Enter ftp://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of My Computer or the web browser.

STEP-8: You can visit the data in the USB device now.

Application introduction: When there are too many PCs in LAN, it is difficult to set speed limit rules for every computer. You can use smart QoS function to assign equal bandwidth for each PC.

STEP-2: Enable Smart QoS

(1). Click Advanced Setup->Traffic->QoS setup.

(2). Select Start, then Input Download Speed and Upload Speed, then Click Apply.

     Or you can fill in IP Address and Down and Up Speed you want to restrain,  then Click Apply.

STEP-2: Wireless(2.4GHz) repeater setting

Please go to Advance Setup ->Wireless(2.4GHz)->Wireless Multibridge , and check which you have selected.

Select Use Wireless Bridge and WPAPSK/WPA2PSK+TKIP/AES in Encryption, then Click AP Scan.

Then select the host router’s SSID and way of Encryption ,then input password of the host router’s SSID and Click Apply. 

STEP-3: Wireless(5GHz) repeater setting

Please go to Advance Setup ->Wireless(5GHz) ->Wireless Multibridge , and check which you have selected.

Select Use Wireless Bridge in Mode and WPAPSK/WPA2PSK+TKIP/AES in Encryption, then Click AP Scan.

Then select the host router’s SSID and way of Encryption ,then input password of the host router’s SSID and Click Apply.

PS: After completing the above operation, please re-connect your SSID after 1 minute or so. if the Internet is available it means thatthe settings are successful. Otherwise, please re-set the settings again

STEP-1: Connect your computer to the router

STEP-2:Follow the steps below to set

2-1. In Internet Access Control, first we should check the Input Type, then select the URL Filter Setup listed below.

2-2. Next we need to set the URL rules.

1.prefix can not add http: //

2.Some sites are not supported()

3.Once unsuccessful, you can try several times.
