Application introduction：Wireless signals generally refer to Wi-Fi, wireless SSID and wireless password is the wireless terminal to connect the router to the Internet the most important two information. The actual use of the process, if there is no connection on the wireless, forget the wireless password, you need to view or modify the signal SSID and password.

 Set up steps 

STEP-1: Enter the setup interface

Open the browser, clear the address bar, enter 192.168.1.1, select Setup Tool.fill in the administrator account and password (default admin admin), click Login, as follows:

Note: The default access address varies depending on the actual situation. Please find it on the bottom label of the product.

STEP-2: View or modify the wireless parameters

2-1. Check or modify in Easy Setup page

Click Wireless Setup(2.4GHz), Modify the SSID according to your preference. Select encryption method (default encryption is recommended)，Enter the password, if you need to clear the password, you can choose Unhide，click Apply.

Click Wireless Setup(5GHz), Modify the SSID according to your preference. Select encryption method (default encryption is recommended)，Enter the password, if you need to clear the password, you can choose Unhide，click Apply.

2-2. Check and modify In the Advanced Setup.

If you need to set more wireless parameters, you need to enter Advanced Setup --- Wireless (2.4GHz) or Advanced Setup --- Wireless (5GHz). And then select the parameters you need to change in the pop-up submenu.

Questions and Answers

Q1: After setting up the wireless signal, need to restart the router?

A: No need. After setting the parameters, wait a few seconds for the configuration to take effect.

Application introduction: If you want to set the wireless parameters of dual-band wireless router, please follow the steps below.

STEP-1: Connect your computer to the router

1-1. Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your browser.

Note:The default access address differs by model. Please find it on the bottom label of the product.

1-2. Please click Setup Tool        to enter the setup interface

1-3. Please login to the Web Setup interface (the default user name and password is admin).

1-4. Now you can log in the interface to set up.

STEP-2: Parameters setting

2-1.Choose Advanced Setup->Wireless (2.4GHz)->Wireless Setup.

From the option, you can setup wireless parameters of 2.4GHz band

2-2. Choose Advanced Setup->Wireless(5GHz)->Wireless Setup.

From the option, you can setup wireless parameters of 5GHz band

Note: You must select Start in the Operation bar firstly, after configuring the parameters, don’t forget to click Apply.

Application introduction: MAC address is the physical address of your computer’s network card. Generally, every network card has one unique Mac address. Since many ISPs only allow one computer in LAN to access Internet, users can enable MAC address clone function to make more computers surf Internet.

STEP-1: Connect your computer to the router

1-1. Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your browser.

Note: The default IP address of TOTOLINK router is 192.168.1.1, the default Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. If you can't log in, Please restore factory settings.

1-2. Please click Setup Tool icon         to enter the router’s setting interface.

1-3. Please login to the Web Setup interface (the default user name and password is admin).

STEP-2: 

2-1. Choose Basic Setup->Internet Setup

2-2. Select the WAN type and click MAC Address Clone, then click Search MAC Address. Finally click Apply. 

Application introduction: If you want to connect the android phone to the TOTOLINK router, please follow the steps below.

1. Open WLAN function of your phone

2. In the WLAN interface, click “Scanning” option, screen will show different SSID

3. Select the SSID you want to add, there will be a tip that remind you to input password, input the password 

4. Check the information

Now you connect your android phone to the TOTOLINK router successfully.

Application introduction: If you want to connect iphone to the TOTOLINK router, please follow the steps below.

1. Open WLAN function of your iphone

2. The iphone will search for wireless network automatically, and the screen will show different SSID

3.Click the SSID you want to add, there will be a tip that remind you to input password

4.Check the information

Now you connect your iphone to the TOTOLINK router successfully.

Both these two repeater methods can help you to expand the wireless coverage and allow more terminals to access Internet. But since Wireless WAN need not stop DHCP Server, all PCs’ IP Addresses are assigned by the Secondary Router itself. So this method allows more PCs to access Internet than Wireless Bridge. In Wireless Bridge mode, the PCs’ permissions to access Internet are decided by Primary Router which can make users to manage the LAN more easily.

Application introduction: If your Win 7 computer connects to the new wireless network for the first time, you need to use PIN number to connect to the network. While you can’t find PIN number on the shell of the router, you can find it by these ways.

STEP-1: Connect your computer to the router

1-1. Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your browser.

1-2. Please click Setup Tool icon           to enter the router’s setting interface.

STEP-2: 

Click Advanced Setup->Wireless->WPS Setup on the navigation bar on the left.

STEP-3: 

You can enter the PIN code in this interface to add WPS device.

STEP-4: 

You can also stop WPS function here for not use PIN number, and then set a WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK encryption for security on the Wireless Setup interface.

Application introduction: In a particular situation, we need to let computer or other network devices use the same IP, we can realize it by only few simple steps.

STEP-1: Connect your computer to the router

STEP-3:

Click Start button to start DHCP at first.

STEP-4:

4-1. Tick the box as the picture show and then enter the IP address specified in the blank, next to click Add button.

4-2. Then you can see the information about the IP/MAC address on the left side.

--Block MAC address on the list with wrong IP address:

The PC’S MAC address has existed on the rule but with the wrong IP can’t connect to Internet.

--Block MAC address not on the list:

The PC’s MAC address isn’t exists on the rule can’t connect to Internet

Click Advanced Setup->Network ->LAN/DHCP Server on the navigation bar on the left.

Click Start button to start DHCP at first.

4-1. Tick the box as the picture show and then enter the IP address specified in the blank, next to click Add button.

4-2. Then you can see the information about the IP/MAC address on the left side.

--Block MAC address on the list with wrong IP address:

The PC’S MAC address has existed on the rule but with the wrong IP can’t connect to Internet.

The PC’s MAC address isn’t exists on the rule can’t connect to Internet. 

Application introduction: New version of firmware will be released to improve the various efficiency or to fix some bugs. Following the steps show below so as to realize upgrading.

STEP-1: Connect your computer to the router

1-1. Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your browser.

Note: The default IP address of TOTOLINK router is 192.168.1.1, the default Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. If you can't log in, Please restore factory settings.

1-2. Please click Setup Tool icon         to enter the router’s setting interface.

1-3. Please login to the Web Setup interface (the default user name and password is admin).

STEP-2:

Click Advanced Setup->System->Firmware Upgrade on the navigation bar on the left.

STEP-3:

Click Choose File button to select the firmware version and then click Upgrade button. After the router reboots, upgrade is finished.
